Lightbeam Editing is a freelancing editing business run by freelancer KaTrina Jackson. Jackson offers services in developmental editing, substantive editing, copyediting, and design.
For this project, Jackson wanted to redesign the logotype for the website and for business cards in preparation for an upcoming conference.
I created several iterations exploring concepts of light or editing. I gravitated towards concepts regarding editing as I thought the concepts of light would be too vague. I settled on using editing marks as a playful reference to the business and the individual.
